34th Annual OBIE Awards

The OBIE Awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to now feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories in which to enter. The OBIE Awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards in the new home construction industry. Presented by the Greater Atlanta Builder’s Association, here are some of the builders who took home awards at this year’s event: 

Ashton Woods took home the gold for their Woodstock Knoll Community, and took home 10 other awards, including Best Building Design. 
Brock Built took home the gold for their master-planned community, Dupont Commons.
Edward Andrews won seven awards, including gold for Single Family Builder.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods won the gold for Sawyer Farms along with four other awards.

Pulte Homes won silver in Single Family Builder and earned Best Community Service Project.

Traton Homes won four gold awards, including gold for Single Family Builder.

Julie Slappey with Peggy Slappey Properties won Marketing Director of the Year.
Engel and Volkers (Buckhead) earned Sales Person of the Year.
Thrive Homes brought home a whopping 15 awards, including Best Brochure.

Seven Hills won four awards, including silver in Single Family.

Kerley Family Homes won two awards, including silver in Best Marketing Campaign.

Rocklyn Homes won four awards, including gold in Single Family-Attached.
