The four-story facility will offer a variety of outpatient medical services and physician practices, and it will represent the first phase of a multi-phase development. Initial programs include imaging, primary care, urgent care and specialists.
Doug MacDonald, Northside Hospital vice president of planning, said the facility, located at Johnson Ferry Road and Olde Towne Parkway in Marietta, is being constructed in response to the strong demand east Cobb residents have for additional Northside services for the more than 200,000 members of the community.
"We have had a strong relationship with the community going back many years, to when Northside first opened," MacDonald said after the groundbreaking. “We plan to deliver the quality of service they have come to expect ... and a whole host of services in a convenient location."
Matt Bryant and D.J. Shockley from the Atlanta Falcons were on hand to present a $30,000 check on behalf of the organization to support the Northside Hospital Foundation.
