Summer is in full swing, and whether you’re trying to find something entertaining to do with your children or looking for a fun stress-relieving activity after a long week at work, metro Atlanta has an abundance of free outdoor concerts for all ages to enjoy! Regardless of what part of Atlanta you are in, there are pop-up concerts right around the corner from you. Here are a few to check out over the next few months:
Glover Park Concert Series – Marietta
This free concert series is the perfect opportunity to slip away and listen to some fantastic music throughout the summer. This series covers a wide range of genres from rock and roll to blues, and there are a number of different contests and events that take place along with the concerts. The remaining shows happen on August 23 and September 27, and they begin at 8 p.m. VIP options are also available if you would like a front row seat to the action!
Avalon Nights Live – Alpharetta
Avalon may have some of the hottest shops and restaurants, but it also presents the much-loved Avalon Nights Live event on Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. Head to the popular mixed-used development any Friday, now through October 25, to enjoy incredible music and even do a little bit of shopping!
Concerts by the Springs – Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs is proud to put on Concerts by the Springs one Sunday evening each month, happening now through September at Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park. This concert series has been around for 23 years and celebrates this tradition with free admission and several food options. Before the entertainment begins, there is a “taproom” experience that includes the chance to taste craft beers for those 21 and older.
Groovin’ on the Green – Dunwoody
Pernoshal Park is hosting its annual concert series one Saturday per month this summer, with shows planned for July 13 and August 10. Join other residents of Dunwoody in your lawn chairs or on a blanket to enjoy the sounds from 6 to 9 p.m. The concerts are free, and you can access food and drink trucks while onsite for the events.
Fridays-N-Duluth – Duluth
Fridays are the best day of the week for many, and the city of Duluth agrees! Every Friday through the month of August, food trucks and entertainment line the streets of Duluth for a fun kick-off to the weekend! On the last Friday of every month, the All Block Party features a street fair atmosphere with live music from 6 to 8 p.m., as well as a themed concert from 8 to 10 p.m.
There are so many free events offered over the summer around metro Atlanta that it’s pratically impossible to cover them all! If we didn’t include your favorite summer concert series in this round-up, comment below or share it with us on Facebook!
