If you're planning a move to Atlanta or have already relocated here, you've made a popular choice.
On Jan. 22, Penske Rental Trucks released its eighth-annual list of Top Moving Destinations and Atlanta, for the eighth year in a row, landed the coveted spot as the premier destination for relocators across the U.S.
According to Penske, the list is crafted by analyzing all one-way consumer truck rental reservations made via its website, over the phone and at company locations.
“Our own data, compiled from do-it-yourself moves across the country, mirror the country’s migration and areas of growth,” explained Don Mikes, Penske’s senior vice president of rental.
Penske also includes some fun facts about our city: Atlanta has an ideal average temperature of 62.7 degrees Fahrenheit; has a median home value of $184,600 and median income of $62,2613; flaunts a reasonable monthly rental price at $1,590; and includes a fun fact that you can walk, run, bike, skate, skateboard or even horseback ride to Alabama on Atlanta's 61.5-mile Silver Comet Trail.
