Alpharetta

Located approximately 25 miles north of Atlanta, Alpharetta is a vibrant city suburb that is growing by leaps and bounds. It is known for everything from its excellent culinary offerings to its abundance of outstanding recreational hot spots.

Where to Stay The Hotel at Avalon and Alpharetta Conference Center places you near the center of it all. One to check out is Restaurant Holmes, located in the former historic Jones House right on Main Street. A walk-in restaurant, the eatery offers creative small plates brimming with seasonal local ingredients. You’ll find 20 dishes that are perfect for sharing, including pork belly and housemade ravioli. Restaurant Holmes also offers a tight list of six cocktails, eight beers on tap and approximately 30 wines. Diners are encouraged to sit down, order, share and eat together.

Ameris Bank AmphitheatreWhat to Do What’s dinner without a show? Fortunately, Alpharetta is home to the Ameris Bank Ampitheatre, which is set on 45 acres of beautifully landscaped wooded land. In the center of it all is a 12,000-seat state-of-the-art music venue which offers an impressive lineup of performances by today’s leading recording artists. Its season, which runs from April to November each year, attracts some of the best acts around; the 2019 season will welcome Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews Band, Brad Paisley, Heart and Peter Frampton (on his farewell tour).

Braselton

Travel about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta and you’ll make your way to the town of Braselton, which offers a blend of bucolic beauty and historic charm. The jewel of the area is its downtown district, which is undergoing a major revitalization effort. Year-round activities and a thriving tourism industry make Braselton a go-to spot for anyone who wants to get to know North Georgia.

A destination for both women and men, the European-style spa overlooks a sparkling lake, a canopied forest of trees, emerald green lawns and flowering shrubs; spa treatments are available for individual guests, as well as couples. Peachtree City

Just south of Atlanta and only 25 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the master-planned community of Peachtree City. A beloved hot spot in Peachtree City, this popular, 1,600-seat outdoor venue regularly hosts Grammy-winning performers, as well as national and international touring acts.
